Rosenstein Palace

Stuttgart, Rosenstein Palace: Main front

Rosenstein Palace rises up in an idyllic location above the Neckar river in an English landscape garden. It was built in 1824 - 1829 by King Wilhelm I and was used as a villa for the royal family. Today its classicistic architecture and the select location make it to a popular destination for outings. Sine 1954 the State Museum for Natural History has used Palace Rosenstein and has presented biological libraries, which belong to the most important in Europe, here.
